We are thrilled to present your weekly MOTM newsletter, in which we’ll share exclusive information and updates on our highly anticipated game’s development. This week’s post is longer than usual. We’ll delve into MOTM’s world structure, the initial game setup, and guidance for newcomers considering becoming club owners or becoming players.
🌍 Structure of MOTM’s World:
You will find that MOTM’s world closely resembles our own. It is divided into continents, and each continent is further divided into countries. Each country has its own football association that runs the national team, as well as its own local clubs that play in the league pyramid.
🏆 The league pyramid:
MOTM is quite different from other video games in regard to league systems. You wouldn’t just go and randomly select your league’s opponent. Instead, you will know in advance who your league rivals are, and you will play them regularly according to a fixture schedule. For instance, you might have matches on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday at 8 PM.
We have chosen this approach because we believe that historical connection between clubs, leads inevitably to fierce rivalries, clásicos, and hard-fought derby matches.
The league system is structured so that the number of divisions doubles every tier. For example, the English first league has only one division, while League 2 has two divisions, League 3 has four divisions, and so on.
Bear in mind that Man of the Match is an earn-to-play game. Every official match is played competitively, and the higher the league level, the greater the reward. We’ll discuss this in more detail in a future VIP newsletter.
🎮Upon initial game Load:
When our developers first turn the “on” switch the first time, MOTM’s world is already in place.
Continents, countries, national teams, clubs, and even players are already there. However, clubs are controlled by what we define it as governments, municipalities, or fan ownership (bots), and all players are controlled by bots. They will name fake names such as “FC London Dynamo” or “AS Paris Juniors”…
MOTM’s world eagerly awaits your arrival to continue its story.
👔 Becoming a Club Owner:
We’ll cover “clubs” in greater detail in the coming weeks, but there is something you need to know: each club is completely distinct from the rest. Making the simple task of choosing a club and continue its legacy very exciting!
As a potential club owner, you must carefully consider the club you’d like to manage. Each club has unique attributes, such as stadium capacity, fan base, fan types, and financial resources and many more. It’s a great idea to look into the club’s league standing, their rivalries, and club’s ethos. Be sure to weigh your options and choose a club that aligns with your management goals and play style.
While you can change the club’s name, colours, jersey, or even a sponsor, altering its fan’s complexity is a difficult task. So choose your club wisely!
👕 Becoming a Player:
When joining MOTM as a player, you’ll create a personalized avatar using state-of-the-art image capture technology. As a player, you must make strategic choices to further your career, taking into account factors like the club’s reputation, team playing style, and your unique role within the squad.
MOTM is an earn-to-play game. Will you be content as a higher-league substitute player, earning more real money? Or would you prefer being a regular starter in a lower league? Will you opt to be a striker among many talented strikers, potentially jeopardizing your national team prospects? Or will you choose a less popular position, in hopes of joining a world-class Champions League club or even being called up for the national team?
These exciting decisions will confront you from day one in MOTM.
Remember that your choices can significantly impact your career trajectory and the overall gaming experience. You can alter your decisions at any time, however, doing so may require time and effort to change your playing style and rebuild your reputation from scratch.
